Tea Garden Brew Café and Bakery is a home-based business founded by a client retiring from the Army and looking to transition into civilian life by opening a small café. Their vision was to create a welcoming space that offers premium teas and artisanal pastries while building a sense of community. With a limited budget, the client needed a cost-effective approach to establishing a brand identity and professional presence. My role was to bring this vision to life by designing digital and print materials that would give the business a strong, cohesive foundation for launch.

Tea Garden Brew Café and Bakery faced several challenges as it sought to establish its brand in a crowded café and bakery market. The business lacked a cohesive identity that could effectively communicate warmth, freshness, and quality across different touchpoints. Additionally, the client had a limited budget for an e-commerce solution, which meant a full online store was not feasible. To work within these constraints, we opted for a cost-effective static website using Google Sites, ensuring the café still had a professional online presence. Beyond digital needs, the café also required a consistent customer experience across menus, packaging, and social media to avoid feeling disconnected and to strengthen its recognition within the community.
The main objective of this project was to create a cohesive brand identity that captured the café’s welcoming and artisanal personality. To work within the client’s limited budget, I designed a cost-effective static website on Google Sites that gave Tea Garden Brew a professional digital presence. In addition to the website, I created a pamphlet flyer and menu to highlight the café’s tea and pastry offerings in a visually appealing, easy-to-read format. To further strengthen the brand’s recognition, I designed a business card that extended the visual identity into customer touchpoints. Across all deliverables, my focus was on consistency, accessibility, and differentiation—ensuring that every piece, from digital to print, worked together to reflect the café’s unique character and connect with both locals and visitors.7
The final design package included three main deliverables that established a cohesive identity for Tea Garden Brew Café and Bakery. The website, built on Google Sites, provided the client with a cost-effective digital presence that was simple to maintain while still looking professional and inviting. The layout was clean and accessible, making it easy for customers to browse the café’s tea and pastry offerings online.Alongside the website, I designed a pamphlet flyer and menu that highlighted the café’s products in an engaging, easy-to-read format. The print materials reinforced the brand’s personality and gave the business a tangible way to connect with customers both in-store and through community distribution. A custom business card extended the identity further, giving the café a professional touchpoint for networking and customer interactions.Together, these outcomes created a consistent and accessible brand system across both digital and physical platforms. The café now has a recognizable look and feel that sets it apart in a competitive market, while also aligning with the client’s budget and operational needs. The final result reflects a warm, artisanal identity that resonates with both local customers and visitors, helping the business grow its presence within the community.
